m-Toluidine (meta-toluidine) is an aromatic amine with the molecular formula C₇H₉N. It consists of a benzene ring substituted with an amino group (–NH₂) and a methyl group (–CH₃) in the meta (3-) position relative to each other. It is commonly used as an intermediate in the manufacture of dyes, pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, and rubber chemicals. m-Toluidine is typically a colorless to pale yellow liquid and should be handled with care due to its toxic nature.
